Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan approved the law "On Establishment of Azerbaijani Embassy in Israel" at the plenary session.

According to Interfax-Azerbaijan, the embassy will be opened in Tel Aviv. In addition, Parliament approved the opening of Azerbaijani embassies in Albania (Tirana) and Kenya (Nairobi) and a representative office in Palestine (Ramallah).

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid welcomed the Azerbaijani parliament's decision to open an embassy in Israel in his Twitter account. "I welcome the Azerbaijani parliament's decision to open an embassy in Israel. Azerbaijan is an important partner of Israel and home to one of the largest Jewish communities in the Islamic world. The decision to open an embassy reflects the depth of relations between the two countries. I want to thank President Ilham Aliyev and congratulate the Azerbaijani people, who will now be represented in the State of Israel for the first time," Lapid wrote.
