On the sidelines of the 18th summit of the International Organization of la Francophonie in Djerba, Tunisia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with French President Emmanuel Macron, the government press service reported.

The interlocutors highly assessed the presidency of Armenia in International Organization of Francophonie and touched upon the discussions in the frames of the Tunis Summit: issues related to the priorities of the organization and plans for future were discussed.

Nikol Pashinyan and Emmanuel Macron exchanged views on the results of the October meeting of the leaders of Armenia, France, Azerbaijan and the President of the European Council in Prague. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of steps aimed at strengthening stability and security in the South Caucasus.

Prime Minister Pashinyan noted the need to eliminate the consequences of Azerbaijani aggression and the immediate withdrawal of Azerbaijani units from the sovereign territory of Armenia.

The leaders of Armenia and France also discussed issues relating to further development of bilateral Armenian-French cooperation.
