Non-partisan candidate and lawyer Natasa Pirc Musar won the second round of the presidential election in Slovenia after processing 100% of the ballots, according to a report published Tuesday on the website of the State Election Commission.

According to the election commission, Pirc Musar got 53.89% of the votes. Former Slovenian Foreign Minister and deputy of the Slovenian Democratic Party Anze Logar received 46.11% of the votes. A total of 908,138 citizens of the republic took part in the second round of elections, which is 53.6% of all Slovenians entitled to vote.

The elected president will take office on December 23 of this year, when the mandate of the current head of state Borut Pahor, who has spent two terms in office and according to the constitution of the republic can not run for a third time.
