The draft decision on CSTO joint measures to provide assistance to Armenia has been agreed upon. CSTO General Secretary Stanislav Zas announced this during Wednesday’s joint Yerevan meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers, and the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CSTO member countries.

"The efforts of the Armenian government and other participants in reaching a peaceful agreement, legal wording of borders, and unblocking transport communications are playing a positive role in the Caucasus region. At the same time, tension is maintained on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The information that reaches us through the crisis response center confirms that there are skirmishes on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border almost every day. Discussions related to these threats to Armenia took place during three special CSTO sessions in May, September, and October. In general, based on the conclusions and recommendations of the CSTO monitoring mission, the draft [CSTO] Collective Security Council decision on joint measures to provide assistance to Armenia has been agreed upon," said the CSTO chief.
