The British government intends to transfer three Sea King helicopters to Kiev, The Times newspaper reported, citing a statement by British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace.
According to the newspaper, this will be the first delivery from the United Kingdom to Ukraine, including manned aircraft. They will be part of a new aid package to Kiev, which will also include 10,000 artillery shells.
One of the helicopters is already with Ukraine.
The material also noted that ten Ukrainian crews underwent a six-week training program, piloting helicopters removed from the Royal Navy's armament in 2018.
