Russia, Iran and Turkey condemned Israel's ongoing military attacks in Syria, including on military facilities. This is said in a joint statement of the three countries at the end of the 19th international meeting on Syria in the Astana format, TASS reported.

The guarantor countries of the Astana process called the Israeli actions a violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.

In addition, the Israeli army attacks were considered destabilizing and exacerbating tensions in the region.

On November 19, the Syrian Defense Ministry announced that the Israeli air forces launched air strikes on the Syrian army positions in the center of the country and on the coastline, over the Mediterranean Sea near the town of Banyas. As a result, four Syrian soldiers were killed.

Later, Iran said that Colonel Daoud Jafari, a high-ranking member of the command of the Air and Space Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was killed in Syria as a result of a bomb planted by Israeli agents.
