Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia urged the individuals operating drones to comply with the established requirements

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) may operate in the airspace of Armenia under the requirements stipulated by clauses 18-21 of "Procedures for training and special flights in the Republic of Armenia" approved by the order of the Head of the Civil Aviation Administration under the Government on April 11, 2007, NEWS.am learnt from the press service of the RA Civil Aviation Agency.

In particular:

  •  within a radius of up to 5 km from the aerodrome location point;
  • with an unmanned aerial system weighing more than 4 kg, at a relative altitude of more than 120 meters, and the flights can only be carried out according to the above-mentioned procedure.

At the same time in the case of flying in crowded areas the 1:1 rule should be observed - the relative height of the remotely controlled drone and the distance between persons not involved in the flight should be proportionate, but not less than 50 m. meters, according to the photo.

Violation of the requirements for drone operation will lead to administrative responsibility in the order and amount established by the Code of Administrative Offences of Armenia.
