Iran is not interested in the territories of neighboring countries, including Azerbaijan, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said, Mehr reports.

He recalled that he visited Armenia last month and then the Armenian Prime Minister paid a visit to Tehran, and some Azerbaijani media reacted disproportionately to those visits.

"We see Azerbaijan and Armenia as Iran's two neighbors and do not build our relations with one side at the expense of the other," he said, adding that the policy of neighborhood and developing relations with countries in the region is Iran's priority "We are not interested in the land of neighboring countries, including Azerbaijan. But we have clearly stated to all actors in the Caucasus region that any geopolitical change will be met by Iran's corresponding reaction."
