The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, had a short private conversation with his Russian counterpart Wednesday after the regular Yerevan meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council. Papikyan announced this on Facebook.

"On November 23, the session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held in Yerevan, with the participation of the secretaries of the national security councils, foreign affairs, and defense ministers of the CSTO member states.

Immediately after the session, I had a short private conversation with the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation. We exchanged ideas with Sergei Shoigu on a number of matters of bilateral interest, as well as defense cooperation," the Armenian defense minister wrote.
