First Deputy Head of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Shadlinski, has considered it necessary to pay special attention—at a conference in Baku—to Armenia's "revanchist forces,” arms purchases, and "provocations."

Shadlinski's statements are a continuation of the line given by the Azerbaijani authorities to discredit the Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and prepare an "information grounds" for a new military aggression against Armenia and Artsakh.

"Armenia's revanchist forces are trying with all their might to hinder the work being done toward normalizing relations between the two countries," said the deputy head of the Azerbaijani State Security Service.

Shadlinski noted that "the fact that Armenia is providing funds for armaments and army building—exceeding its financial capabilities—, is trying to buy modern weapons and military equipment from various countries, is trying to delay the signing of the peace agreement by all possible means, is worrying."

According to him, "the issues of sending military equipment and creating conditions for carrying out various provocative actions there on the Azerbaijan territory where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed deserve special attention."
