Russian and Turkish defense ministers Sergei Shoigu and Hulusi Akar discussed the situation in northern Syria.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, at the initiative of the Turkish side, November 24, 2022 telephone talks were held between the Russian Defense Minister, Army General Sergei Shoigu, and the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey, Hulusi Akar.

During these talks, they discussed the current situation in northern Syria, as well as certain issues related to the continuation of the Black Sea Initiative.
