YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: On August 26 of this year, Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] NA [(National Assembly)] President Artur Tovmasyan had convened a consultation—with the participation of [NA] faction leaders, committees’ chairs, and staff officials—, and announced the convening of an interparliamentary session between Artsakh and Armenia in the second half of September.

September has passed, and so has October, but an interparliamentary session has not yet been convened, about which, by the way, was promised to the AR [(Artsakh Republic)] parliament by Armenia’s colleagues.

We learned that due to the war situation of September 13, Armenia’s legislators have suggested to Artsakh colleagues to postpone the arrangement and call the session later, but they don't act to this day.

Let's remind that after the [44-day] war [in 2020], the Artsakh-Armenia interparliamentary commission does not function—no matter how much the opposition and the people of Artsakh made efforts for it to be formed. Since the 2021 elections, the [ruling] CC [(Civil Contract Party of Armenia)] members did not form the commission and persistently avoid forming [it] and calling sessions.
