YEREVAN. – Armenian foreign minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Friday received Mikhail Siebert, Michael Siebert, Managing Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE of the European External Action Service (EEAS) of the European Union (EU), the foreign ministry of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The interlocutors discussed matters related to Armenia-EU cooperation, and regional security. Also, Mirzoyan and Siebert exchanged ideas on the activities of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia.

In addition, the FM presented the approaches of the Armenian side regarding the establishment of stability and peace in the South Caucasus. In this connection, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan's belligerent rhetoric and non-constructive policy is undermining peace efforts, and that the probability of a new escalation remains high.

Also, Mirzoyan reflected on the process of normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations.
