Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received EU External Relations Service Managing Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE Michael Siebert and the delegation headed by him, the press service of the Armenian government informed NEWS.am.

Praising the effectiveness of the Armenia-EU partnership, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of EU support for the implementation of reforms, noting that the Armenian government is committed to continuing the democratic reforms it has embarked upon. Pashinyan expressed satisfaction with the European political community summit held in Prague on October 6, and in this context he referred to the quadrilateral meeting of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, France and the President of the European Council during the Summit.

In his turn Michael Siebert noted that according to EU assessment, democracy in Armenia is progressing, which is proved by reforms in different spheres and active work of the civil society. The EU will continue to support Armenia in this process. High Representative of the EU thanked the Armenian Prime Minister for highly appreciating the summit of the European political community. He also touched upon the idea of making the summit a periodical event.

During the meeting issues related to Armenia-EU partnership, regional security and the Eastern Partnership program were discussed. Views were exchanged on the activity of the EU observation mission in Armenia.
