In the US, a 55-year-old local resident, who worked as a security guard, was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his 25-year-old lover and three-year-old son, the Daily Star reports.
The incident took place in 2019 in the state of Oregon. The woman had met the married man when the latter was working at a factory. After she got pregnant with his child, he left her, and then she had a son.
After some time, the woman filed a claim for alimony. In April 2019, the court set child support payments of more than $900 per month. But three days later, the woman and the child disappeared.
The police immediately suspected her lover, but he categorically denied his guilt. However, he was arrested. During the search, they found drugs with which he could put his victims to sleep.
The man finally confessed what he did. A month later, the law enforcement officers found the decomposed bodies of the mother and child. It was found that the man shot his ex-lover and son, after which he wrapped their bodies with a tarpaulin and threw them into the forest.
