There are issues requiring negotiations in relations between Russia and Kazakhstan, particularly in the gas sphere, but Astana is not dramatizing the situation, Kazakh President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev said, RIA Novosti reported.

"Yes, there are issues that require additional coordination and even negotiations. In particular, we are talking about the gas sphere. But we are not being dramatic here," he said during the meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Tokayev added that he told Russian President Vladimir Putin about this. "I just told Vladimir Putin that there are such issues. They need to be discussed, but absolutely without any drama. These are working issues. And I am sure that we will reach appropriate agreements," Tokayev said.
