Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with U.S. State Department chief adviser Philip Reeker in the format of a working dinner, First Channel of Georgia reported.

According to the press service of the Georgian Prime Minister, at the meeting Irakli Garibashvili and Philip Ricker talked about the importance of Georgia's strategic partnership with the United States.

They noted the positive dynamics of the strategic partnership, which is due to the steps taken within the framework of cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting the sides expressed readiness to deepen and strengthen the existing cooperation. During the meeting the sides also touched upon the regional and South Caucasus security issues, as well as the mediating role of Georgia in the Armenian-Azerbaijani dialogue.

Irakli Garibashvili noted that negotiations are the only and important way to solve any conflict and move forward. U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan and Head of Government Administration Revaz Javelidze attended the meeting.
