A special session of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia has kicked off at the initiative of the opposition "Armenia" Faction.

There is one matter on the agenda, and it is in connection with the statement by the Azerbaijani parliament on November 8.

"Armenia" Faction MP Andranik Tevanyan will be the keynote speaker and will present the respective draft statement of the NA.

Eduard Aghajanyan, Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations and a member of the ruling majority “Civil Contract” Faction in the NA, had told reporters on Wednesday that the “Civil Contract” Faction will attend this NA special session.

"In the draft statement put on the session's agenda, there are points that are acceptable, there are points that need to be worked on. The special session will take place in any case, the ruling faction will be in attendance to the session," Aghajanyan had said, in particular.
