Under the incumbent authorities of Armenia, the authorities of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) have received as much budgetary aid as they have not received in the last 30 years. Eduard Aghajanyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia and a member of the ruling majority “Civil Contract” Faction in the NA, stated this during Friday’s NA special session debates on the draft NA statement in response to the November 8 statement of the parliament of Azerbaijan.

According to Aghajanyan, the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent was drawn as a result of the Second Karabakh War in 2020.

"As of today, the guarantor of the security of Artsakh Armenians and the main entity responsible for their safety is the Russian peacekeeping forces," he said.
