During the 29th OSCE Ministerial Forum, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with North Macedonian Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani.

Taking into account North Macedonia's upcoming chairmanship in the OSCE, Ararat Mirzoyan and Bujar Osmani exchanged views on the activities and challenges to be faced within the organization, as well as OSCE engagement in the South Caucasus, the Foreign Ministry informed NEWS.am. Special attention was paid to the visit of the OSCE Needs Assessment Mission to Armenia.

Touching upon the security situation in the region, Minister Mirzoyan noted that Azerbaijan's bellicose rhetoric and continuing aggressions challenge the international efforts aimed at the establishment of peace and stability, raising the possibility of a new escalation. The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs presented to his interlocutor the humanitarian problems that require urgent solutions, particularly stressing the need for the repatriation of the Armenian prisoners of war, hostages and other detainees.
