The price of copper rises on Monday, trading data show. A decline in the dollar and expectations for an easing of quarantine in China are contributing to the rise in quotations.

March futures for copper went up 0.52% to $3.875 per pound (about 0.45 kilograms) on Comex exchange.

At the end of trading on the London Metal Exchange (LME) on Friday, the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months rose by 1.37% to $ 8,450, aluminum - by 2.43%, to $2,545.5, zinc - went down by 0.02%, to $3,079.
