Azerbaijan gets nervous; it loses big diplomacy, Russian political scientist and expert on the Middle East and Caucasus Stanislav Tarasov told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"On the issue of the OSCE Minsk Group, Moscow said that the group does not work, but it did not announce its withdrawal from it, too. Baku says the OSCE MG does not work, but the mandate of this group has not been cancelled. And the issue of determining the status of Karabakh is on the agenda of the OSCE MG," he said.

According to him, if Moscow returns to the OSCE Minsk Group, the status of Karabakh may be discussed at another level.

"In this case, all the statements of Azerbaijan will fail due to the preservation of the international mandate, which discusses the status of Karabakh. This will allow to defend not only the interests of the Armenian enclave in Karabakh, but also to deal with the determination of Karabakh's status in a broader context," the political scientist said.
