Artsakh NSS denied reports about the alleged installation of an Azerbaijani checkpoint in the Berdzor (Lachin) corridor.

"Today an interview of the head of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Artsakh Andrey Volkov was spread in the media and social networks, based on which it was concluded that an Azerbaijani post will be set up in the corridor linking Artsakh with Armenia.

The National Security Service of the Republic of Artsakh organized a discussion on this issue with A. Volkov, during which he said that there will be no checkpoint in the corridor, it will not be controlled by Azeris, and there will be no Azeris in the corridor where peacekeepers are deployed.

According to Volkov, it is only planned to install technical control devices to facilitate the work of peacekeepers. In the near future the leadership of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Artsakh will make a corresponding statement," the statement says.
