There might be a meeting between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan by the end of the month. Speaker Alen Simonyan of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia told reporters about this at the NA Wednesday.

When asked whether Armenia agreed to Azerbaijan's demand that French President Emmanuel Macron not attend that meeting, Simonyan said: "There is no information about where it will be. But we [i.e. Armenia] are not molded by the option of meeting only in Brussels. We are ready for any substantive discussion. You know that the meeting of the deputy prime ministers took place yesterday, and an agreement was reached regarding the next meeting. We still don't have any concrete information regarding the meeting of the heads of state; but I repeat: there is no limit to Brussels."

The meeting of the heads of Armenia and Azerbaijan was planned to be held in Brussels today. But president Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan had announced that the meeting will not take place because Armenia insists that the French president also attend this meeting—and as before.
