Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday received US Ambassador Lynne Tracy, who is completing her diplomatic mission in Armenia.

The PM lauded the activities of the ambassador in Armenia, and noted that during her term of office, a dynamic development was recorded in Armenian-American relations. According to Pashinyan, during the last years, institutional reforms are being carried out in Armenia—and including with the help of the US—, and these reforms contribute to the development and strengthening of democracy. The premier added that the programs being implemented also within the framework of the Armenian-American strategic dialogue contribute to the expansion of mutually beneficial bilateral ties.

Ambassador Tracy, in turn, thanked the Armenian PM and government for close cooperation, and noted that the changes that took place in Armenia during her tenure significantly contributed to the promotion of democracy in the country. In this context, the ambassador emphasized the fact of effective reforms in the fight against corruption and in public administration.

The interlocutors discussed various matters related to Armenian-American relations, as well as of mutual interest.

Also, Prime Minister Pashinyan wished Ambassador Tracy new success in her future activities.
