YEREVAN. - NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange did not carry any foreign transactions on Wednesday, stock exchange website informs.

The main reason is the higher exchange rate for U.S. dollar. The average rate made AMD 373/$1.  The level of demand for U.S. dollar went up to AMD 372.5/$1. The banks believe that Armenian AMD may be devaluated soon. The average rate made AMD 371.5/$1 on Tuesday.

US dollar went up in the cash currency market as well. US dollar was impossible to purchase at the rate of AMD 373/$1 as on Tuesday. The selling rate went up to AMD 371.5/$1.
