The European Commission presented the ninth package of sanctions against Russia. In particular, the EC proposes to add almost 200 more individuals and legal entities to the sanctions list.

These include officers and companies of the defense industry, deputies of the State Duma and the Federation Council, ministers, governors, representatives of political parties and others.

In addition, the European Commission proposes to impose sanctions against three other Russian banks, including a complete ban on transactions with the All-Russian Bank for Development of Regions.

The package also provides for the introduction of export restrictions, especially on dual-use goods. This includes key chemicals, nerve agents, electronics and IT components.

Fourth, the EU wants to cut off Russia's access to all kinds of drones and drones. "We propose to ban the direct exports of drone engines to Russia and the export to any third countries, such as Iran, which could supply drones to Russia," said EC head Ursula von der Leyen.

The EU will also deal a blow to the Russian propaganda machine by pulling the plug on four additional channels and all other distribution platforms, she said.

The EU also proposes further economic measures against Russia's energy and mining sectors, including a ban on new investment in mining in Russia.
