The rector of Azerbaijan's National Defense University, Heydar Piriyev, discussed the prospects for military cooperation between Baku and Ankara during a meeting in Ankara with the chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, Yasar Guler,  and the second chief Selcuk Bayraktar, Azerbaijani media reported citing the Ministry of Defense.

"The sides have made a thorough exchange of views on the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the military, technico-military, military education, and other domains, as well as the topics that are of mutual interest," the respective statement notes.

Piriyev heads the Azerbaijani delegation that went to the Turkish capital Ankara to participate in the 14th meeting of the Azerbaijani-Turkish high-level military dialogue.
