There are two versions of the text of the peace treaty; one was proposed by Russia, and the other is the text Armenia is working on now. Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, on Thursday told about this to reporters in the National Assembly, but adding that the text of this peace treaty was not publicized.

"There are only two texts; one proposed by Russia, the other—by Azerbaijan. The West has not proposed us any text. The West has tried to create an environment for negotiations. Moscow is also trying to create such an environment. The messages we received from both sides are important for us to achieve peace. Armenia and Azerbaijan are the main beneficiaries; they should try to work in this regard," he said.

To the question whether the Russian version, which proposes to leave the question of the status of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to the future, is more beneficial, Grigoryan answered: "We [i.e. Armenia] have said we are in favor of it; let's move forward. Before the Sochi meeting, we [stated] publicly and not publicly that the package proposed by Russia be mentioned in the Sochi declaration. [But] it was not mentioned in the Sochi statement. As to why, it would be more correct to ask Russia."
