On December 8, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received the Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry informed NEWS.am.

The sides exchanged views on the drafting process of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the recent developments around the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, and the process of delimitation and unblocking of regional transport infrastructures.

Ararat Mirzoyan noted that the Armenian side is committed to its position on establishing peace and stability in the region, underscoring that the continuous provocative actions and maximalist rhetoric of Azerbaijan lead to the aggravation of the fragile security situation.

The interlocutors also touched upon the activities of the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia and stressed the importance of its role.
