India has approved bids for defense equipment, including infantry fighting vehicles, light tanks and missile systems, worth 843.28 billion rupees ($10.18 billion), Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said.
Singh wrote on Twitter that of the total, more than 97 percent are purchased from Indian manufacturers.
