Likud party leader Benjamin Netanyahu said that the new Israeli cabinet will continue to work on eliminating Iran's nuclear program to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons, he wrote on his Twitter.

According to him, the new government will also work to strengthen the status of Jerusalem and maintain the status quo in religious matters.

The swearing-in of the new Israeli cabinet is scheduled for December 29.
