An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 has occurred in Turkey's Elazig Province Sunday morning, reports Anadolu Agency.

According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) under the Turkish government, the tremor was registered at 6:36am local time.

The epicenter of the quake was located in the Sivrice region, and 17.9 kilometers below the surface.

There are no reports of casualties or damage.
