Azerbaijani deputy at PACE Konul Nurullayeva took it upon herself to comment on the behavior of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's wife.

Speaking at a session of the Assembly, Nurullayeva decided to speak out and criticize Anna Hakobyan's participation in the First International Congress of Powerful Women held in Tehran.

According to her, Hakobyan cannot justify her participation in a propaganda campaign in which first ladies from only 10 countries participated.

She added that Armenia's participation in this event in Iran contradicts the unified position of Western countries on human rights and democracy.

A member of the Armenian delegation to PACE Arusyak Julkhakyan countered by saying that hearing eulogies about democracy from a representative of a country that is one of the most repressive in the world, whose 'achievements' are recorded in reports of all international organizations, we can only react with a facepalm.
