An unidentified man stabbed two people and wounded seven others on a train in Germany. Police said a man attacked several passengers with a knife shortly before a regional train from Kiel to Hamburg arrived at Brockstedt station, AP reported.

Police spokesman Juergen Henningsen said two of the wounded died after the attack. Three people were seriously injured and four others were lightly wounded. No details on the identity of the victims have been released.

The attacker was also injured and taken to the hospital.

Police have not provided any information about the suspect's identity, other than that he is between 20 and 30 years old. Possible motives for the attack are being investigated.
