The delegation led by the speaker of the Republic of Armenia National Assembly (RA NA), Alen Simonyan, met with the president of the Qatar Football Association, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani.

The Qatar Football Association president, who initiated the meeting, presented the programs to be implemented immediately after the FIFA World Cup held in Qatar a month ago, the NA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The RA NA President noted that the organization of the world games was a great challenge for Qatar, what the country accepted with honor. Simonyan informed that football is also one of the most spectacular and most spread sports in Armenia, and there is a problem of development of the infrastructure and investments.

At the meeting the proposal by the president of the Football Federation of Armenia, Armen Melikbekyan, was conveyed to the president of the Qatar Football Association to have a friendly match of Armenia-Qatar national teams. The proposal was gladly accepted.
