At Thursday's Cabinet meeting, the government decided to allocate 98,490,500 drams to ensure the accommodation of around 486 citizens of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) who are stranded in Armenia due to the ongoing Azerbaijani blocking of the Lachin corridor that links Artsakh to Armenia. Of that, 11.5 million drams were given to the Yerevan Municipality, and 87,046,500 drams to the Syunik provincial hall.

According to the decision adopted today, the government compensates the organizations that provided accommodation to the citizens of Nagorno-Karabakh for the hotel services provided from January 10 to January 25, inclusive.

Earlier, by another decision, the government already had reimbursed such expenses incurred up to and including January 9.
