Iranian authorities announced the arrest of suspected terrorist groups affiliated with Israel, Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib noted.

"Members of more than 12 terrorist groups have been detained by the intelligence services in a short period of time," he said. "These terrorist groups sought to avenge their failure to (advance) the insurgency through various operations," he said, noting that the "vigilance" of intelligence agencies "foiled all such plots," Press TV reported.

According to him, the terrorist groups that tried to sabotage Iran are linked to Israel.
