German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said he will start talks with the defense industry as early as next week to speed up arms purchases and boost ammunition supplies, Reuters reported.

According to him, his main task now is to start negotiations with the defense industry to significantly shorten the procurement timeline.

In the context of ammunition, there's also the issue of quantity, he added.
