The Russian side is actively working to resolve the issue of unblocking the Lachin corridor, Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin told reporters, Spuntik-Armenia reports.

"The Russian leadership and our peacekeeping contingent are doing very intensive, painstaking work in order to find ways to solve this problem and fully unblock the Lachin corridor," he said during the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the lifting of Leningrad blockade.

Kopyrkin noted that Russian peacekeepers help to deliver humanitarian aid and evacuate people in need of medical care jointly with the International Committee of the Red Cross. According to the ambassador, interaction is ongoing with the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. "It is not easy to reach agreements that would be acceptable to all sides. But it is being done. And I am confident that we will succeed," he added.
