The swearing in of Kristina Kvien as the new US Ambassador to Armenia has taken place. Armenian News-NEWS.am learns about this from the US Embassy in Yerevan.
“Kristina A. Kvien was sworn in as an Ambassador by Under Secretary of State Uzra Zeya. Congratulations!” the embassy noted.
On December 13, 2022, the US Senate approved Kristina Kvien’s candidacy for the post of US Ambassador to Armenia. Prior to that, this position was held by Lynne Tracy, whose candidacy was approved by the Senate for the position of US Ambassador to Russia.
