The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia is deeply concerned about the recent events in Jerusalem, MFA spokesperson Vahan Hunanyan has noted.

“We are deeply concerned by recent acts of violence and vandalism targeting Christian religious institutions in Jerusalem including Armenian Patriarchate and the Armenian residents of the Old City,” Hunanyan wrote on Twitter.

On the late evening of January 28, two Jewish extremists, while going to the Wailing Wall on the street of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem, first tried to obstruct the traffic in front of the Armenian monastery, then left the road, hit the car of Armenian youths returning home from work, and shouted: "This is our country. Get out of our country!"

And on January 29, a group of people in Jerusalem tried to climb the roof of the Armenian Patriarchate and take down the Crusader and Armenian flags, and made two attacks on Armenians.
