NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the U.S. is carrying out an important task for its allies against the background of the policies of Russia, China and North Korea.

The alliance chief explained that as long as there are nuclear weapons, especially as long as authoritarian forces in Russia have them and are intensively invested in their mobilization, as long as we see what China is doing, increasing the number of weapons, and what North Korea is doing, under such conditions nuclear deterrence is assigned an extremely important task.

According to him, the world could be in greater danger if NATO's nuclear powers, such as the U.S. and France, abandoned nuclear weapons.

At the same time, the alliance secretary general called on South Korea to increase military aid supplies to Ukraine, pointing out that some NATO allies that previously refused to export weapons to countries in conflict have now changed this policy, citing Germany, Norway and also Sweden, which has not yet joined NATO, as examples.
