Moscow strongly condemns a drone attack on a military facility in Iran, it could have unpredictable consequences, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"We strongly condemn any provocative actions potentially capable of provoking an uncontrolled escalation of tension in an already far from calm region. Such destructive actions may have unpredictable consequences for peace and stability in the Middle East," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.

Earlier IRNA agency noted that the ammunition depot of the Iranian Defense Ministry in the city of Isfahan, where a powerful explosion occurred on Sunday night, was attacked by drones.
