The Greek Air Force fighter jet fell into the Ionian Sea south of the island of Andravida, both pilots ejected, Greek public television ERT reported.
"The automatic ejection system went off. The pilots are alive, a search and rescue operation is underway," the report said.
An American-made F-4 fighter jet went down.
