Nothing short of a full lifting of the blockade will bring relief to the victims of this cruel and unnecessary blockade, Constantinos Salonidis, a lawyer for Armenia, told the International court on Monday.

According to him, as a blockade took place in December hundreds of people were left there, while the gas supplies, product deliveries, and internet connection have not been stable since.

"Nothing short of a full lifting of the blockade and unhindered resumption of the provision of public utilities will bring relief to the victims of this cruel and unnecessary blockade," he noted.

Constantinos Salonidis noted that "in this conclusion, Armenia is not alone. This conclusion is shared by the international communities at large."

According to him, "progressive deterioration of the situation is obvious. As a collective trauma has already been inflicted on the Armenian population of the Nagorno-Karabakh."
