The Turkish-Pakistani joint military exercises Ataturk-2023 started in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, January 30, Turkish media reports Anadolu.

Pakistan's Armed Forces Command said that the exercise in the Tarbela area will continue for two weeks.

The aim of the exercise is to practice joint steps to combat terrorism, the organizers said.

"Joint exercises have been held since 1998 with special forces units of the two countries alternating between Turkey and Pakistan," the report noted.
