Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant had a telephone conversation on February 1 at the initiative of the Israeli side.

According to Azerbaijani media reports, noting that Azerbaijani-Israeli relations are based on friendship and mutual trust, Galant expressed satisfaction with the current bilateral cooperation. Hasanov congratulated Galant on his appointment as Israeli Defense Minister and expressed confidence in the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the military sphere.

During the phone call, the sides strongly condemned the terrorist attacks, discussed regional security issues and prospects for military-technical cooperation.
