Azerbaijan has indirectly acknowledged the ongoing blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and attempted to accuse the Russian peacekeepers of providing Artsakh with fuel.

Azerbaijan's pro-government newspaper Haqqin.az published the results of a "study," according to which an average of 9-15 vehicles transported fuel from Armenia to Artsakh capital Stepanakert a month before the start of the Azerbaijani "environmentalists’" protest, whereas in January, virtually four times more—58 vehicles transporting fuel.

"The indicated figures give grounds to assume that the fuel demand of the Karabakh separatists is met on the account of the contingent of the Russian peacekeepers, and to say that there are no fuel-related problems," the newspaper noted.

Thus, Azerbaijan has confirmed that the Lachin corridor—which links Artsakh to Armenia—is blocked, and the fuel can be delivered to Artsakh solely by the forces of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Artsakh.
