The Lachin corridor has been blocked by Azerbaijani self-proclaimed environmental activists since December 12, the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs said in his report to the parliament at a meeting of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs, the Federation of Armenian Organizations of the Netherlands (FAON) reported.

The Dutch Foreign Minister and a number of other European Union countries expressed their concern over the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The government of the Netherlands is continuing to take steps to encourage EU member states to jointly call on Azerbaijan to open the Lachin corridor in line with the Trilateral Statement of 2020.

The government is exploring ways to influence the Azerbaijani authorities to open the Lachin corridor.

The Netherlands has expressed support for the activities of the EU civilian mission in Armenia and is exploring ways to facilitate it.
